Our Story

“We care about pointing people to Jesus wherever we go." Rob Roozeboom

For over two decades, RISE Ministries has been passionate about helping people connect with Jesus.

Founded in 2001 by Rob Roozeboom, RISE Ministries began with a simple desire: to share Rob’s personal story of hope through his relationship with Jesus Christ. By 2005, Rob and his team launched RiseFest, an annual Christian Music Festival that features the nation’s top Christian artists and speakers.

In 2020, RISE Ministries expanded its outreach with the launch of the podcast Enjoying the Journey  and the video series Stories of Strength , both of which share real-life stories of individuals who have overcome adversity through faith in Jesus.

Since 2021, RISE Ministries has been producing Good Friday and Christmas programs, where Rob shares a message of hope and invites artists to share their stories and music. Over the years these programs have reached more than 800,000 people through local TV stations and online.

RISE with Rob & Friends was created in 2022 to bring singer-songwriters together to share about their music and hope in Jesus. Through these events, Rob has shared the gospel with thousands of people across Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

Rob recently fulfilled an 18-year goal by writing his first book, Broken Still Chosen , which weaves his inspiring story with biblical insights and offers encouragement to those who feel broken or unloved, unseen, or forgotten.

RiseFest 2024 set new records for RISE Ministries with nearly 24,000 festival-goers over two days! Hundreds of people responded to the gospel, over 1,000 Bibles were given out, and 800 volunteers helped make it all possible. Additionally, Touch of Hope Haiti saw record-breaking sales and sponsorships, making RiseFest 2024 the most impactful festival to date!

RISE Ministries is humbled and grateful for God’s faithfulness and the opportunities He’s provided to share about the life-changing hope in Jesus.

We can’t wait to see what God will do next!
