Podcast Season Review
Wednesday, December 23, 2020
We had so much fun creating and posting our 11th episode of the podcast this week! Instead of having an outside "guest" this week, we tried something else: an episode with our RISE office team! Rob, Parker, and Ellie have worked so hard this year through many challenges, and it was great to sit down, laugh, and reflect on all that has taken place, and what things we are excited about next in our ministry!
It has also been amazing to look back at the podcast's first season, and the ten guests and episodes that we have so blessed to work with and share with our listeners! We started with "We are Messengers" lead singer Darren Mulligan, then hosted best-selling author and founder of Sseko designs, Liz Forkin Bohannon. Episode 3 included an interview with Red Street Records recording artist Cade Thompson, and episode 4 made for a hilarious and deep discussion with our friend, and lead pastor at Hilltop United Methodist Church, Justin Jenness. Next we conducted interviews with comedian and illusionist Joshua Jordan, author Jennifer Dukes Lee, and speaker and evangelist Wendy Palau. Episode 8 was an extremely interesting and educational talk about eating disorders and mental health with speaker Patrick Devenny, and it was great to catch up with Pizza Ranch founder and CEO Adrie Groeneweg in episode 9! Our last guest interview was with Pulse movement founder and chief communicator Nick Hall, which turned out to be such a great episode to do during the Christmas season, and as a look back on 2020! Finishing the season in episode 11 with our office team seemed so fitting, and we are so excited to keep bringing bigger and better episodes to you in 2021, as we continue to track down stories of strength through adversity, and share advice from some of our favorite people and role models about how they enjoy the journeys of their lives!
