ROTR TOGETHER

For the last few years our theme at RISE Ministries has been RESET. We've used it at RiseFest, on our Rise on the Road trips, and Rob has shared about it while speaking countless times. This theme has been built upon the idea that our nation needs a reset. A reset that can only come from Jesus. This reset must come from us, through our families, churches, and communities in order to make an impact and affect our nation as well as the world.

The RESET Movement was launched by Pulse, out of the Twin Cities area. The culmination of this movement happened July 16 on the National Mall in Washington D.C. and was called TOGETHER 2016. This event called for a million people to come and RESET our nation under the one true name of Jesus. This event, scheduled to go from 9 am to 9 pm, featured well known artists and speakers such as Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Hillsong United, Lecrae, Francis Chan, Christine Caine, and more. Unfortunately the event had to be cut short due to extreme heat and emergency services being overrun with people in need. But thankfully, not before Lecrae, Francis Chan, and Hillsong United could take the stage after some schedule jumbling.

Rise on the Road partnered with LifeLight and made TOGETHER 2016 a part of our domestic trip this summer. 4 busses from South Dakota and Iowa, as well as people who drove and flew on their own to total over 200 participants made their way to Washington. We were able to sightsee for a day and serve for a day. Service projects included beautifying local park areas and national monuments as well as packing World Vision backpacks for Syrian refugees. Thank you to all our participants and supporters for making this once-in-a-lifetime trip possible!
